The previous owner of the house was terrified of the idea that the pillars sustaining Heaven would, one day, be torn apart by God and the sky would fall. He designed his home so, the day that happened, the roof would bend in such a way that it wouldn't collapse over, but rather, carefully wrap itself around him. He would be kept protected and warm, like a mummy - Delusional.

When my family is away and I'm alone in the house, I lie in our bed for hours, doing nothing but watching the security footage from the cameras in the courtyard - mesmerized.

We (Michele and I) wanted every individual element in the bathroom to be almost invisible, and for it to be as closer to a flat surface as it could be. "Like a canvas", said our lead interior designer.

At the time the house was built - hiding the main staircase was fashionable.
